Keep Your Brain From Failing

Everywhere I turn I am seeing friends and family dealing with dementia of loved ones. It is a slow and torturous process that takes the ones we love from us.


How can we keep our brains functioning at the highest levels?


Magnesium is important in heart health, sleep and strong bones. Now we seeing a new study that shows it may help keep our brains healthy too.

This study included over 6,000 people from 40-73. By the time people reached 55, those who had the highest levels of Mg had the youngest and healthiest brains.

How much should we take?

Between 300-400 milligrams a day

It should primarily come from foods:

Leafy greens, nuts, seeds, whole grains and dark chocolate( 70% or higher)

Best supplement form is magnesium L-theronate, it crosses the blood-brain barrier and may benefit cognitive and brain functions.


We also know that keeping the brain working by learning new things, doing puzzles, playing games and crosswords helps the synapses stay healthy in the brain.

Exercise has been shown to be crucial in reducing dementia

Proper levels of B vitamins are critical for a healthy brain

Get good sleep

Have a social life that engages you and keeps you active.

Check Vit D levels

Reduce stress

Herbs like tumeric, cinnamon, ginger, garlic and rosemary are shown to help the brain function better

Fish Oils and healthy fats are essential


No matter how old you are, you can take some of these steps to help your brain stay healthy!
